VERSION NUMBERING SCHEME FOR THE DAILY CALIBRATION FILES

Each daily calibration file has assigned a version number consisting in two
digits.

The version number can be determined from name of the calibration file which
has the format: CN_YYYYMMDD_VxX.fgmcal

N One digit for the s/c number
YYYYMMDD The date for which the calibration file is valid
x One digit for the minor version number
X One digit for the major version number

# Major versions (V00,V01,..,V09)

Changes in major version reflect changes either in the number of
included parameters, or in the method used to determine them.

  . V00 October 2000

    Commissioning, not for science.

  . V01 from 23.08.2000 to 30.09.2009

Calibration files without Range 6 calibration.

  . V02 from 01.08.2008 to 31.01.2010

Calibration files with R6 parameters determined by Imperial College team.
One set of R6 parameters is valid for all V02 files.

  . V03 from 01.08.2008

Calibration files with R6 parameters determined by IGeP team.
R6 parameters are determined on a monthly basis.

. V04 reprocessed (Sep 2025) last versions from Oct 2000

Calibration files with adjusted spacecraft spin aligned offset.

# Minor versions (V0X,V1X,..,V9X)

For each major version V0X, slightly different sets of parameters can be
determined, e.g. optimized for a specific time interval. Each such additional
set of parameters corresponds to a different minor version.
